Opportunities to get involved!

It was so good to see so many of you yesterday at LFNTX.  I am sorry I could not attend the afternoon session. I heard it was just as fabulous as the morning session.  Thank you, DISD P&DL, for starting us off right. 

As promised, here are a few opportunities to volunteer and support Learning Forward Texas. 

  • Learning Forward Texas Needs Survey – Share your thoughts to help develop future events and resources.  Your input is critical to our organization, please take a few minutes and respond. The survey closes Friday, September 29.  
  • 2024 Conference Planning Committees Do you like planning conferences and events? Help the LFTX board and conference team by serving on the Conference Planning Committee.  Complete the form to select where you would like to help. The form is due Friday, September 29. 
  • Remember our hashtag is #LFTXlearns and #LFNTX, follow us and share the fabulous professional learning going on in your district.

The 2024 Learning Forward Texas Conference proposal window opens Thursday, September 28 – October 29.  We seek innovative ideas and strategies to help solve today’s issues in professional learning, leadership, and instruction. Watch your email for the link.

We will collaborate around problems of practice during the morning (9-11:30am) and a light breakfast will be served.

Dallas ISD is excited to bring to your attention a unique opportunity taking place in the afternoon portion of our meeting (1:00-3:00pm). This gathering will address beneficial topics such as STAAR instructional resources for the new item types, new teacher and mentor professional learning, and alternative forms of professional learning.


The Dallas ISD Professional & Digital Learning team has meticulously planned this afternoon showcase with the aim of providing a platform for learning and growth. We are thrilled for you to be a part of this enriching experience that allows you to share knowledge and to delve into the learning materials and resources. Please bring a charged device and be ready to learn, discuss, and have fun!

Dallas ISD will be hosting our first LFNTX meeting of the school year on Friday, September 22nd at 9400 North Central Expressway, Suite 300, Dallas, TX 75231. We hope to see you all in Richardson this Friday, May 12th as we celebrate another year and learn from our peers! The morning will be spent collaborating and networking during our Problems of Practice time (9:00am-11:30am) and the afternoon will include a Richardson ISD Mini Ports of Call Showcase (1:00pm-3:00pm). The meeting will be held at the Richardson Operations Center (1123 S Greenville Ave. Richardson, TX 75081). A light breakfast will be provided.
