We’re excited to gather for the first LFNTX meeting of the 2026-2027 school year, hosted by the Dallas Independent School District on September 25, 2026.
This session will center on a shared commitment to strengthening our approach to problem solving in professional learning. In the morning we will discuss shared problems of practice and common project work. In the afternoon, we will examine how screen time is discussed across North Texas and throughout the nation, navigate the difference between passive consumption and active participation, and experience Digital Citizenship activities and resources that can support teachers and students. What to Expect
The day will begin with breakfast from 8:30-9:00 AM and the meeting will run from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with lunch on your own from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM.

● A clearer understanding of how purpose and engagement distinguish active screen use from passive consumption
● Ready-to-use Digital Citizenship Week activities and resources for teachers and students
● A facilitation resource with strategies and structures for leading engaging large-group activities
